Assassin's Creed: Odyssey Has Been Confirmed

Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey Has Been Confirmed by Ubisoft

Earlier today, some images of a keychain made their way to social media. This keychain appeared to reveal the name of the next Assassin’s Creed game, Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey. Since then, Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey has been confirmed by Ubisoft, who posted a quick tease on Twitter.

Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey has been confirmed:

With the name of the game confirmed, as well as the new design of the series’ logo, it seems likely that this game is in fact taking place in Greece. Given the setting and probable timeline of Assassin’s Creed: Origins to Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, the star of the previous game, Bayek, seems likely to make an appearance. It’ll be interesting to see if he remains the protagonist or if any other characters will be introduced to step into the spotlight. According to Kotaku, this game will double down on introducing role-playing elements into the series, such as dialogue options in conversations, a choice of male or female protagonist and more.

The tease confirms that we’ll see more at E3 2018. The Ubisoft press conference takes place on June 11th at 1:00 p.m. PDT. We’ll be covering the event, so check back for more information related to this and other gaming news at E3 2018.
