It has been apparent that Nintendo Switch owners absolutely love their indie games. In fact, one independent development studio can now stay in business thanks to the support from all of you Switch players who are willing to take a chance on indie video games. Castle Pixel, the maker of Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King has made over twenty times as much revenue on the Nintendo Switch than it has on Steam according to a tweet from the game’s publisher, FDG Entertainment.

Keep in mind that the game has only been available on the Nintendo Switch for three months while it has been on Steam for about a year.
Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King was inspired by older The Legend of Zelda games. It utilizes the same top-down perspective and offers similar gameplay mechanics such as a veriety of weapons, special items to find and dungeons to explore.
Where Blossom Tales stands out is the narrative. The game puts you in the role of a young knight named Lily. As you make your way through the game the narrative is told by Lily’s grandfather. He is telling his granddaughters a tale which in turns gives you a chance to shape the story to your liking.
