Sony Rewards has added a new incentive for gamers to play their favorite games. While the rewards program has existed for a long while, this new update will make it so that non bronze trophies can be used as credit for PSN.
According to the Sony Rewards website, the conversion rates go as follows.
Silver Trophies: 100 points, 1 dollar
Gold Trophies: 250 points, 2.50 dollars
Platinum Trophies: 1000 points, 10 dollars
This sounds swell and all but here comes the bad news, you’ll only be able to convert trophies that you unlocked starting from the point you joined the program on Sony’s website. That means if you have a stash of platinum trophies on your account you won’t be able to use those, you’ll only be able to use the ones you unlocked after joining the program. Another condition is that you’re limited to 12 redemptions for an entire year.
What do you think of the new benefits for PlayStation owners? Seems like a cool prize for gamers who truly enjoy maxing out their experience.
