Godzilla v.s King Kong Will Happen Post 2018

This could be the fighting match of the generation! Deadline has reported that Legendary is moving the film Kong: Skull Island over to Warner Bros . According to the source, this decision is in order to “to unite the property with Legendary’s other giant franchise, Godzilla.” . A big move then from the studio, who may be hoping to replicate the success of the 1960s crossover.

This summer proved to Hollywood that it isn’t just superheroes who can pull in the big bucks. Jurassic World, starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Howard, pulled in an astonishing 1.6 billion at the box office making it the highest grossing film of 2015 so far (until Star Wars: The Force Awakens comes out and inevitably smashes ‘all the records ever’ )

The Godzilla-King Kong movie is slated to release after the 2018 Godzilla sequel, which will be directed by Gareth Edwards. Before then, audiences will be reintroduced to the 8th Wonder of the World in 2017’s King Kong: Skull Island which will star Tom Hiddleston and Michael Keaton. Now let’s just get hoping for that cross-over with Pacific Rim!
