It’s true. Black Tusk Studios is no longer working on Gears of War for Microsoft.
It is all good though. The same team of developers who has worked on the game is still there. The only things that have changed are the logo and the name of the studio.
The head of the studio, Rod Ferguson, posted an announcement of the name change on Xbox.com on Wednesday. “A coalition is a team of diverse individuals working together for a common purpose, a concept that we feel describes our studio quite well,” Ferguson wrote.
He also pointed out that The Coalition will be recognizable to those familiar with the back story within the Gears of War universe. The notice ended with a note for Gears of War fans to watch Xbox Daily Live @E3 to see the studio’s progress on the game.
