Rocksteady is Not Working on a Superman Game

Rocksteady is a household name when it comes to superhero video games. The Arkham series is arguably one of the best interpretations of the DC universe in both video games and film. When rumors surfaced that Rocksteady would be working on a Superman game, it is safe to say the hype level of anticipation from fans was massive. Prior to this Superman games have mediocre to absolutely terrible, especially if you think back to Superman 64 which is often considered to be one of the worst games of all time. With the thought that Rocksteady could be heading up the project made many fans believe Superman could finally be getting the game he deserved. Unfortunately, today all those hopes and dreams have been dashed. Sefton Hill director and co-founder of Rocksteady responded to rumors today that we could see a reveal of this Superman game at The Game Awards later this week. In a tweet, he maintains that Rocksteady is hard at work on their current project but aren’t quite ready to show it off yet. Sefton then ended the tweet stating that the project is not Superman.

On one hand, it is disappointing to hear that Superman may not be getting the game he has deserved for so long. However, it is really exciting to see what Rocksteady may have in store for us down the road. All we can do right now is to wait and see what Rocksteady is working on when they are ready to show it.
