Three more actors join the cast of new Picard series

The cast for the upcoming Star Trek series featuring fan favorite Jean-Luc Picard continues to grow. Three more actors have been announced for the upcoming series. The first would be Canadian actress Alison Pill who you might recognize from American Horror Story a couple of years ago or Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. She is joined by Harry Treadaway who has made a name for himself in horror and suspense communities with his roles in Penny Dreadful and Mr. Mercedes. Finally, Isa Briones rounds out the cast of new actors. She has only had a handful of acting roles so far – the most recent being a part in American Crime Story last year though you would probably remember her from her role in Takers way back in 2010. As noted before, Patrick Stewart will reprise his role as Jean-Luc Picard.

We don’t know the roles that these actors will play nor do we have a firm release date for the series. Earlier comments from Patrick Stewart suggest that the first season of the show will be like a 10-hour movie. The IMDB page for the series says that there are eight episodes so far. If that is indeed the final number for season one then a couple of the episodes may be two-hour specials.
