In a world where advertising campaigns are bought by the dozen, it wasn’t surprising when Star Wars Battlefront got snapped up by Sony. Even though the game is multiplatform, the media attention would be focussed on the platform on which it is marketed. However Phil Spencer confirmed that thanks to the EA Access exclusivity deal they have for the Xbox One, that Star Wars Battlefront will be playable first on Xbox One this holiday.
EA Access was launched on Xbox One, and gives subscribers access to EA Games a la carte, discounts and early access to new upcoming titles. Star Wars Battlefront will have 10 hours early access gameplay for subscribers, and will give Xbox One owners 10% discount if they buy the game. It will give Xbox One owners serious time to quickly jump up the ranks.
Star Wars Battlefront will launch this year on Xbox One, PC and PS4.
